The biggest tides of Europe

The tide is the rising movement then lowering (going down) waters of seas and oceans caused by the effect

combined of the strengths of gravitation of the moon and the sun.

When the Earth and these two celestial bodies are appreciably in the same axis, that is during the full moon

and during the new Moon, these act in unison and tides are bigger amplitude ( deep waters); on the contrary,

during the first one and of the last district, the amplitude is weaker (died waters).

According to the place, the cycle of the amount and the descendant can take place once or twice a day.

The weakest tides of the year occur normally in winter solstices and summer, the strongest In the equinoxes.

To note that "high tide" and "low tide" are misuses of language.

Indeed, the tide is one movement.

We speak about law water or open sea, about slack of law water or about slack of open sea.

Saint Malo's bay(berry) is the theater of the biggest tides of Europe.

When the Atlantic Ocean meets and rushes into La Manche, the wave of the sea arrives then very fast and

very strong in saint Malo's bay(berry).

The marling (tidal range) - the difference between the open sea and the law water - is on average more than

12 metres around the Corsair City(Estate).

It is from the coefficient 95 that we speak of big tide.
